As the Midwest’s premiere sports website, we are breaking down everything Olympics—from uber good to muy mal. Yesterday, we brought you the Week 2 Rewind. Today, it’s the Final Stretch Fast Forward from Vancouver!
Day 14, February 25: Freestyle Skiing and Nordic Combined are on tonight; but Figure Skating takes the cake on NBC primetime. USA’s Rachel Flatt competes with Gold favorites from Japan and Korea, including James Bond short program winner Kim Nu-Ya.
My suggestion: head to MSNBC for the Women’s Hockey Gold Medal game, USA vs. Canada. You thought it would happen, you bet money it would happen, now let’s hope you win whatever you wagered and then some.
Day 15, February 26: Women’s Curling Bronze Medal Game is on USA during your lunch hour, the Gold Medal Game on CNBC in the evening. Then watch Team USA Men’s Hockey and all the former Wisconsin Badgers take on Finland for a chance to compete in the Gold Medal Game in these Olympics in the late afternoon on the Network.
In primetime, Lindsey Vonn completes competes in her final event, Apolo Ohno tries to snatch a so-far elusive Gold and Bobsled is on, much to my personal enjoyment. Ja Mon, you know we can’t be beat! Jamaica, we’ve got a Bobsled team…
Day 16, February 27: During the day on NBC you’ve got snowboarding, Cross Country and the final Speed Skating event of these games. Lunchtime on USA is the Men’s Bronze Medal Game in Curling. Switch over to CNBC after that if you want to see the Men’s Gold Medal Game in Curling. Then DEFINITELY switch to MSNBC for the Men’s Bronze Medal Game in Hockey!!
Primetime on NBC is jam-packed. Figure skating concludes, four-man Bobsled crescendos, Alpine Skiing continues and more Snowboarding makes me jealous.
Day 17, February 28: Wake up in the morning and turn on NBC for the conclusion of Men’s Cross Country. But get comfy for the Men’s Hockey Gold Medal game around 2 p.m. One could only hope for a USA vs. Canada rematch. Wow.
Then it’s Closing Ceremonies! We hope you’ve enjoyed the 17 days of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Now, go back to your regularly scheduled programming, already in progress…
