This logic does not fly with me even though I do hate to see pro athletes get away with some egregious behaviors. The fact is, pro … [Read more...] about Should the 49ers stay committed to Colin Kaepernick?

NFL passing emphasis, rushing decline: by the numbers
It’s happening. The day has finally come where the play calling in the NFL resembles my own play calling from back when I first started playing Madden. First and 10? Streak to the endzone. Second and four? Streak to the endzone. Third and short? Streak to the endzone. Okay, it might not be that drastic. But if it hasn’t been apparent in the past decade or so leading up to … [Read more...] about NFL passing emphasis, rushing decline: by the numbers
5 Super Bowl XLVII storylines the media overkilled these past 2 weeks
One thing about the Super Bowl that no one likes is the extra week of media buildup. Absolutely no one cares about the Pro Bowl, so the second bye week creates even more time for the press to recycle the same tired storylines. And like this flu season, this "Harbowl," "Harbaugh Bowl," or "Harbauwl" was much worse than most years. The main plotline has been beaten to death on … [Read more...] about 5 Super Bowl XLVII storylines the media overkilled these past 2 weeks
The Chicago Ties to Super Bowl XLVII
You know what would be really cool? For the Chicago tie to the Super Bowl to be that the Bears would be in it. You know what’s not really cool? Reality. The Bears are on the outside looking in. Instead of preparing for an epic battle in New Orleans, most players are probably busy handing out Super Bowl party invites. And even though some of those players are living it … [Read more...] about The Chicago Ties to Super Bowl XLVII

Colin Kaepernick sets NFL records in win over the Packers
San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh went from potential idiot to genius in a matter of a few hours after his hand-picked quarterback shredded the NFL record books in the divisional round of the playoffs. "Bright lights city gonna set my soul, gonna set my soul on fire. I gotta whole lotta money that's ready...oh wait, never mind, this is University of Nevada, not Nevada-Las Vegas. Oh, we're not doing UNLV this year? They didn't make the cut? Well the Nevada Wolfpack hometown of Reno may not be as exciting as Vega$, but at least they have a high-rollin' big winnin' college … [Read more...] about College Football 77 in 77: #70 Nevada Wolfpack

Indianapolis Colts 2011 NFL Draft Preview
If there's one thing that can be expected when it comes to the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL Draft, it's the unexpected. Don't believe what any mock draft says; chances are it won't be right. Why do the Colts annually defy seemingly conventional wisdom each April? It historically has worked, but is Indianapolis no longer executing its own strategy well enough? By Drew … [Read more...] about Indianapolis Colts 2011 NFL Draft Preview
