Purdue graduate and Canadian National Team Defender Lauren Sesselmann was “a favorite” of “the internet” last summer during the Women’s World Cup. You probably know what I mean by “the internet,” it’s just people doing some Googling ogling through the image search function.
The page view analytics bare this out- it’s not just guys who spend time online searching photos of women. It’s females too, and in a much higher percentage than you would expect. Hey, when you’re a bikini model, you’re SEO gold, every year, during all news cycles. The 32-year-old Green Bay, Wisconsin native, who also has Canadian citizenship, obviously, was indeed clickbait last summer but will not be again come August when the Rio Olympics start.
You can follow Lauren Sesselman on Twitter below, where she also made the announcement herself.
Denver bound to see my @RecoupFitness family???? Excited to show you what we are working on????

Lauren Sesselmann is a central defender who wore #10 and started at left back in Canada’s 4-3-3 formation last year. She’s also producer and host of the Fitness DVD program Fit As A Pro with Lauren Sesselmann. She played really poor towards the end of Canada’s World Cup run last summer, with a critical slip that largely contributed to her being very unfairly scapegoated for Canada’s early exit from the Women’s World Cup. Sure, she made some bad mistakes in Canada’s final two games, but it was totally ridiculous how much blame got placed on her.
She’s just one player, and her national team manager made some questionable decisions that went largely overlooked.
Canada was ranked last in FIFA during the tournament preceding the World Cup yet they somehow managed to make a run to the Quarterfinals that preceded everyone’s expectations.
