Purdue basketball will have their one and only exhibition Thursday night at home against the rather obscure Marian University. Then it’s the season opener, yes already, on Tuesday night versus Fairfield University on November 6th. So if you’re really into watching midterm election results live as they roll in, and you’re a Purdue basketball fan, I guess you have a decision to make.
To help us get ready for the season, which literally starts earlier and earlier every year, we have some audio from Big Ten Media Day with three key Purdue basketball players. We have exclusives and also some non exclusives with Carsen Edwards, Ryan Cline and Grady Eifert.
Our exclusives are mixed in with the media roundtable Q&A on the same Sound Cloud files embedded below. You can also hear Jess Settles of BTN kind of just barge his way in on our exclusive with the preseason Big Ten Player of the Year favorite/All-American candidate for some bizarre less than extremely professional reason. I don’t why he felt he had the right to do that, but honestly I’m not that upset about it, and barely even reacted when it happened.
I mean, it’s Media Day puff piece stuff when everyone is still undefeated. It’s not like we’re winning a Pulitzer Prize here with hard-hitting exposes. Also, if you haven’t noticed (and judging by the page views numbers you haven’t….*nod to Harry Doyle from “Major League” there*) our Media Day audio with Purdue basketball coach Matt Painter is available at this link.
The Carsen Edwards audio is in two parts.
