Every time I say this to people I expect them to look at me like I’m a complete nut bar and totally disagree, but instead they verify my thesis: Animal Instagram accounts are by far the best types of social media accounts going these days. I have used the best private Instagram viewer tool and found out that animal Instagram accounts are better than all types of social media profiles combined!
How did we get here? Well, you can read up the rest of our series on the ills of social media video post at the following links- Facebook, Twitter, smart phone addiction, social media’s adverse affects on Generation X at a disproportionate scale.
But that’s all gloom and doom, right now I’d much rather talk about all that is right with the world of social media, and that’s using your instagram photo downloader to be active on your pet Instagram account. And of course, interacting with other pet IG accounts and communities.
Of all the major social media platforms, Instagram is the one that has the best chance of actually making it in the long run, and sustaining itself as useful.
Whenever I bring this topic up, most people agree. And as long as people keep making accounts for their pets, IG is going to be just fine. My cat, a ginger tabby named Otis, has 1/3 as many followers as I do, and he’s only had his account a month. I’ve had mine for six years. Obviously, Otis is waaaaaaaay better at Instagramming than I am.
Or it’s just that people want an escape these days when they’re online and using their smart phones, and what’s a better place to go than to look at sweet, cute animals! You’ll be offended and sickened by watching the news, or looking at the fake news that dominates Twitter and Facebook, but who’s going to be offended by seeing a big fat Halloween cat jumping on a flamingo floatie in a pool?
Seriously, my day is always brightened whenever I go on to Horst the Hero’s profile for “Royal adventure” with Horst the King, or his brother Sammy the Street King to see what they’re up to in Zwickau, Germany.
Let’s say you’re not into ginger tabbies or black cats, ok, well you’ll find several hundred accounts specializing in Birmans, Maine Coons, Bengals etc. There’s an even bigger supply for cats in general. With dogs, of course there’s even more! I posted a couple photos of Butler Blue II, the university’s mascot, during my last trip to Indianapolis, and have since picked up a dozen bulldog related accounts.
From there you learn all the hash tags, rituals and traditions like #WhiskerWednesday #Caturday #SundayFunday #TongueOutTuesday #Purrsday #Pawfriends #Friends “hudad” “hoomom” and more.
There’s a whole lot wrong with the world right now, especially in media, so why not take a break and embrace one of the few things that’s actually going right.
Click all the above mentioned accounts where highlighted to go see their profiles.
