If the NFL Draft were a stock market, then this week, the Scouting Combine, would be some of most heavily traded days of the year. So Who’s stock increased/decreased in value?
This is who we’re BUYING:
Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame:
Twitter blew up with this guy’s name over the weekend. Will Fuller moved up the charts and solidified his place in the first round. His measurables have somewhat allayed concerns over his drops and his small hands.
Jalen Ramsey, S, Florida State: His name was a top five trending term on Twitter nationally today. You know how hard that is when all you’re doing is something dull and tedious like running around on cones and jumping on mats? Impressive measurements (a 4.41-second 40-yard dash, a 41.5-inch vertical jump and an 11-3 broad jump) for someone his size (6-foot-1 and 209 pounds).
Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State: At the Fiesta Bowl, we really thought he was going to come back and be one of Ohio State’s leaders on a young defense that is in major overhaul mode. Then a couple days later Apple declared which was a bit surprising. He’s penciled in as the third corner on the board now with his 4.40 40-yard-dash. Time to get bullish on this Buckeye.
Robert Nkemdiche, DL, Ole Miss, Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma St, Darron Lee, LB, Ohio St.
These three all increased their stock this past week with Ogbah looking like a likely top five, and a lock to be top ten. Nkemdiche still has character concerns and the red flag of his inconsistent play, but his combine solidified that the view that he’s a rock star athlete with insane measurables.
Lee is shooting the up charts too. Hard to imagine him going past the top 20 or 25 now. Add these players into your NFL Draft stock portfolio today, start with Will Fuller. Sell when the time is right and take the profit.
