In 2012, the Green Bay Packers find themselves in one of the biggest match-ups of week one, as last year’s #1 seed in the NFC will take on an NFC finalist in the San Francisco 49ers. After that scintillating on paper contest the Pack host the rival Chicago Bears in week two on a Thursday night. After a week three trip to Seattle, to battle the Seahawks on Monday night, the Packers return home to face the Sean Payton-less New Orleans Saints, and possibly get revenge for the bounty hunters targeting Aaron Rodgers.
That’s right NFL fans in northern Wisconsin get to see their home team in three out of the first four weeks. Aaron Rodgers and company will be on Sunday night three times in 2012. The highlight of which is a battle against the returning champion New York Giants on November 25th. One of the worst championship teams in the history of any sport, the 9-7 Giants simply got hot at the right time, and upset the 15-1 Pack in the postseason. So that prime time game will be an emotional one.
