Every time the Chicago Cubs begin a new home stand, the club sends out a release listing all the promotions, breads and circuses, and celebrity guests that will be a part of it. It’s always fun to peruse through the list of who’s throwing out the first ball and/or singing the stretch this time around?
The co-headliners this time are club legend Andre Dawson and former Chicago Bears Linebacker/Carolina Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera. Mila Kunis was no doubt the highlight of the season thus far.
Although last home stand had a very stellar combination of former Olympic superstar Nastia Liukin and the real life man who plays legendary television character Ron Swanson are both coming to town.
Yes, Nick Offerman himself was in town last home stand, and this home stand brings one of his former co-stars on “Parks and Recreation” Jim O’Heir. Scanning the email blast for new, zany food items and interesting game giveaways, as we do each time out, is usually a fascinating undertaking.
This home stand it’s all about Iron Chef and Top Chef winner Stephanie Izard, famous for her Chicago restaurants Girl & the Goat, Little Goat Diner and Duck Duck Goat.
