What will become of Marc Trestman, the sports world’s version of “Painfully Awkward Rob Lowe” from those popular TV spots? He was heavily linked in a move to Atlanta, where he was said to be an Offensive Coordinator candidate who would work under Rex Ryan.
Yes, the NFL odd couple indeed. Trestman are Ryan total anti-theses in every single way.
Well, obviously that did not happen as Rex took the Buffalo Bills job. Trestman did land on his feet after all. He will be your new Offensive Coordinator in Baltimore as the Ravens locked him up today. Now you can synergize the Joe Flacco “elite” narrative with the Trestman “quarterback whisperer” narrative.
Trestman showed in 2013 and the early part of 2014 that his offense can work in the NFL; not just in Canada. Yes, he’s not “the quarterback whisperer” anymore, because Jay Cutler does not care to listen. However, we knew Trestman would still get an O.C. job somewhere.
I guess now it will be psychotic no-life-having Ravens fans and not psychotic no-life-having Bears fans who will be harassing his daughters on Twitter going forward when the team isn’t playing well.
