Jeremy Roenick is one of the most beloved athletes in Chicago sports history. The former Blackhawks Center and NBC Sports NHL analyst was a favorite with fans and media due to his outgoing, affable and colorful personality.
Bears QB Jay Cutler, on the other hand, has a reputation (whether deserved or not) for extreme apathy, insouciance and surliness. Cutler led a Bears offense through a miserable first half at Philadelphia, where they were scoreless up until the final closing seconds, when Robbie Gould kicked a field. Meanwhile, the Eagles offense of Chip Kelly had it’s way with the Bears D, putting up 24 first half points, and double the yardage of Chicago.
Jeremy Roenick was watching and chimed in on Twitter.
Bears need to put McCown in second half !!! This Cutler is a clown!

Cutler was 10-20 passing for 127 yards and a QB rating of 70.2 in the first half
Ahhh sorry bear fans. I’m a bears fan too. Line stinks yes but cutler is more arrogant than I was in my prime. He doesn’t care about u guys — Jeremy Roenick (@Jeremy_Roenick) December 23, 2013
Jay Cutler DOESN’T CARE? Really? No way! He’s usually known for caring so much. We’ve got some iconic Chicago sports figure cannibalism going on here
Jeremy Roenick then backs off, following the advice of his wife, who tells him to stick to hockey. But JR doesn’t back down from his Cutler bashing.
My wife says stick to hockey and shut the f$@/ up!! Sounds like I’m over my head here. ! Ill just end it w cutler stinks…period
