Recidivist dirtball Washington Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather saw his two game suspension from the NFL cut in half today.
Meriweather was penalized for hitting high, and leading with his helmet. He plays the game like a more sinister and reckless Chuck Cecil. He does not care whether he endangers himself or others. Brandon Meriweather was fined $42,000 after week two when he knocked out Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy and then subsequently knocked himself out when he hit James Starks.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall said Brandon Meriweather should be kicked out of the league.
On Monday, Chicago Bears Tight End Martellus Bennett said he wants to punch Washington Redskins Safety Brandon Meriwether in the face. He also called him a scumbag.
Bennett made the comments during his weekly appearance on Chicago’s 670 The Score. (Audio here.) He appears every Monday at 5pm Central, on WSCR midday show “Boers and Bernstein.”
“You got out of there without getting clobbered illegally by Brandon Meriweather, so that’s a victory,” Dan Bernstein said.
Minutes ago, Bennett put out a series of tweets conveying his emotion that he’s surprised people are still talking about these comments. The Orange Dino tweeted: “It’s Wednesday. Yall still talking about my Monday comments? We off that. Plus I didn’t get hit. Dummies. don’t care about that shit anymore. So much has happened since then.”
Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall responded with venom and threats to Bennett, and saying Marshall should retract his statements. Nevertheless Brandon Meriweather has fallen out of favor with numerous NFL locker rooms, and even the New England Patriots, the franchise that embraces Thug Life more than any other, the team that condones criminality more than any organization, had to dismiss Brandon Meriweather.
