The Minnesota Timberwolves are shutting franchise forward Kevin Love down for the final two games of the regular season to play it safe while he recovers from the league’s best fourman recovers from a concussion.
Love has not played since suffering a concussion and strained neck versus the Denver Nuggets April 11.
From the AP:
The team’s leading scorer and rebounder has passed all of his concussion tests and been cleared to play by the NBA. But coach Rick Adelman says the Wolves felt it best not to risk further injury to the new face of the franchise.
Love is fourth in the league with 26 points per game and second in rebounding with 13.3 per game.
