The Chicago Bulls will tip off their 50th season on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the United Center versus Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The game will be televised nationally on TNT, and tips at 7 local time. Turner Sports announced that this season will feature 10 appearances by the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers, nine appearances by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs, and seven appearances by the Houston Rockets.
On Oct. 28, the Bulls will hit the road for the first time when they travel to Brooklyn to take on the Nets at the Barclays Center, with a tip-time set for 6:30 p.m.
The Bulls will also once again play on Christmas Day; traveling to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder in the 1:30 matinee game. That will obviously be on ABC. The Chicago Bulls first appearance on ESPN comes November 18th, with a visit to the Phoenix Suns which tips off at 9:30.
The Bulls will be in the first game of the new NBA Saturday Night on ABC; visiting Cleveland on January 23rd for a 8:30 tip. They’ll also be in the first game in the NBA Sunday Showcase series, taking on the L.A. Clippers January 31st in Los Angeles (2:30 tip off) In other words, the Chicago Bulls will be featured extensively in prime time this year.
