The Chicago Bulls made a really poor business decision by holding a country music theme night (because nothing says NBA like honky tonk), but it was pure genius compared to the Jimmy Butler trade. If you thought Chicago Bears GM Ryan Pace got fleeced on draft night, in what he gave up in order to acquire quarterback Mitchell Tribusky, well that was a brilliant heist compared to this.
The Minnesota Timberwolves sent Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn, and the rights to Lauri Markkanen at no. 7 to Chicago for Jimmy Butler and the rights to Justin Patton at no. 16. No, that’s not a typo.
Yes, this is real, as the Chicago Bulls have greatly failed their fan base.
It’s really sad and pathetic that the Bulls front office (who we already knew were terrible at their jobs, but we had no idea that they were this bad) couldn’t get more in return for Butler.
It’s so bad that it could make you cry, but let’s laugh instead. Here are some of the better and funnier Jimmy Butler trade reaction tweets.
So here’s what the Bulls really got….
What if I told you the Bulls traded a top 15 player & 1st Rd pick for a pick outside top 5, guy w/ a torn ACL, & a PG who shot 29% from 3…

Kris Dunn and Zach Lavine was on the table LAST YEAR. Since then Dunn sucked, Lavine blew out his knee, and Jimmy Butler had a career year.

Again we cannot stress how terrible Bulls GM Gar Forman and V.P. John Paxson, the GarPax, truly are at their job.
People that need to lose their jobs immediately:
1) Donald Trump
2) John Paxson
3) Gar Forman#Bulls— Ashcan Ozzy (@Dave_Katzman) June 23, 2017
But hey at least the Bulls have finally picked a lane now- that’s been the primary issue for many many years now
The Bulls picked a lane like a functioning alcoholic deciding to just give in to the sauce.

Poor D Wade!
Well, not really, the Bulls might buy him out soon, same with Rondo.

The Bulls are going 4-78 next season, with all 4 wins coming vs the Raps.

Before tonight: Bulls aren't winning a title anytime soon
After tonight: Bulls aren't winning a title anytime soonFIN
