The villains of the NBA, the Miami Heat, are losing. They’re in a slump and they just can’t seem to handle the elite teams in the league. Not only are they having issues on the court, they’re now starting to lose it in between the ears.
The Chicago Bulls won their third and final meeting with the Heat this season. And Chicago ends the season series with the team everyone loves to hate up 3-0. And this time they literally cried, took their ball and went home.
Here’s more from Larry Brown Sports:
Miami lost a heart-breaker to the Bulls on Sunday afternoon, with the same issues plaguing the Heat as LeBron James and Dwyane Wade both had chances to win the game in its final seconds and failed to get the job done. According to Erik Spoelstra, the team took the loss pretty hard — perhaps too hard.
Which led us to a tweet from Heat beat writer Ira Winderman:
Erik Spoelstra: “There are a couple of guys crying there in the locker room.”
Back at Bulls Media Day in September, the Heat were brought up INCESSANTLY by beat reporters. Multiple Bulls players were asked “can this team compete with Miami?”
Who would have thought six months later, the Bulls took all three meetings, and forced them to cry in the final meeting. Chicago has taken the court, and now they’ve taken their spirits.
