Jennie Finch, the former icon of the sport of softball who pitched for the Chicago Bandits up until last year gave birth Monday. Her second son, named Diesel Dean Daigle, joins 5-year-old Ace Shane Daigle in the family. (Yeah, I think their kids have kinda weird names too, but I try not to judge people on that. I’m judgmental enough about plenty of other things, so I’ll refrain from commenting more on that.)
Finch is married to Casey Daigle, a minor league pitcher who’s had a couple stints in the major leagues; most notably with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Finch announced her new bundle of joy on Twitter: “We are so blessed to announce the birth of our sweet precious Baby D- Diesel Dean Daigle was born last night, 8lb 2oz & 22 1/4in long!”
