Time for your daily Arturo Vidal is coming/not coming/maybe coming/definitely coming to Manchester United update. We’ll look at what media outlets in which countries are saying the transfer has been completed. Or not. Or maybe it has.
There’s media in three countries interested in this: Juventus (Italy) his current club, Chile (where he was a national star for the World Cup team) and United (England of course!)
One thing is for certain, no one can dispute this:
the Arturo Vidal to Man United storyline will not go away.
There’s been heavy action in the sports books about where he’s going to go for awhile. It is the transfer rumor of the summer. It’s been reported as a so-called “done deal” months ago. There were even claims that an agent from FIFA knew this was going to happen. ย Now according to the Daily Express, United are:
“close to signing Juventus star Arturo Vidal โ but Louis Van Gaal wants the player to undergo a medical BEFORE any transfer fee is agreed. The former Holland boss is a big fan of the Chilean powerhouse, and wants him to dictate United’s play from the centre of the pitch next season.
The Red Devils have been locked in negotiations with Italian champions Juventus since the end of the season and are hopeful of striking a ยฃ40million deal for the ex-Bayer Leverkusen man.”
A few days ago, reports fromย El Mercurio, the paper of record in Chile, Vidalย has a verbal agreement with United. The fee for the player is ยฃ47 million. Vidal will earn ยฃ200,000 per week. We have known for over a month already that United were going to have his inspected, by their own team of doctors, before making any purchase.
The Daily Star is reporting this too, with a slightly different salary
