The son of Sean “Puffy” Combs, or “Puff Daddy” or “P. Diddy,” if you will wants to be a (college foot) baller. And perhaps a shot caller as well.
“How you living Justin Combs?”
Being recruited by the University of Illinois and University of Virginia, as well as mid-major programs UAB, Middle Tennessee State and Wyoming. Here’s a Combs quote from Scout.com describing his prospective future ballin’ like Spaulding in Champaign.
โI talked to the coach at Illinois, and they told me that they were going to give me an offer,โ Combs said.
โThey seemed very excited. We talked about the academics, the football team, the campus, the life there and stuff like that just so I could know a little bit about it. I am going to go out there and see the campus soon before my season.โ
Combs, a 5-9, 175 pound cornerback, is competing for an offer at West Virginiaโs football camp this weekend. Obviously, I’m hoping he ends up with the Illini; as that is my alma mater.
And numerous Pac 12 and Big 12 schools are also contacting his coach, possibly checking him out to see if they want to offer him as well. Sean Combs played football at the Roman Catholic Mount Saint Michael Academy. In 1986, his junior year, the team won a division title.
If Justin succeeds in college, and goes to the NFL, I’m sure his father will notify him that the more money he comes across, the more problems he’ll see.
