Former WWE Diva and Greek Goddess Maria Kanellis is both a Cubs and Illini fan. Maybe the Illinois fan will be at Illini at the Cubs? Probably not. I’m sure she has better things to do.
The Chicago I FUND is set to hosting Illini Day at Wrigley Field on Sunday, July 7, when the Cubs host the Pittsburgh Pirates at 1:20 p.m. Whoah Cubs vs Pirates!! Get your tickets now for an extremely relevant game with huge postseason implications now.
There will be a rooftop party with Fighting Illini head basketball coach John Groce. Tickets are $105 each and include all food and beverages. When he’s not at the rooftop, Coach Groce will participate in a pair of events, throwing out the first pitch and singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the seventh-inning stretch.
To order tickets to the Rooftop Party for Illini Day at Wrigley Field, complete the online registration at go.illinois.edu/illiniday. Illini fans need not worry though as baseball tickets are not in high demand these days.
The I FUND also will host a pre-game reception at Rebel Bar & Grill in Wrigleyville (3462 N. Clark St.), with Coach Groce scheduled to attend at 11:30 a.m. Illini fans are encouraged not to think about Tim Beckman and football season when imbibing. Thinking about it could inspire Illini fans to put themselves in severe danger.
