In January the CIES Football Observatory released their study of individual player values on the global transfer market. Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was rated the fifth most valuable player in the entire world (behind only Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo and Hazard), and second in all of England.
His transfer value was projected at 91 million Euro, or 67 million British pounds.
So when Tottenham Manager Mauricio Pochettino says that his young star striker is not for sale, at any price, you see where he’s coming from. Manchester United, among others, have been rumored to be interested in acquiring his services. This is life during the international break when so little of actual interest and genuine consequence occurs. That’s what we do, bring up topics like this again.
With Manchester United and Real Madrid both monitoring the striker, Spurs are attempting to ward off suitors with a £75,000-a-week deal.
Currently earning £35,000-a-week from a contract he signed just last year, the 22-year-old’s meteoric rise could be even more lucrative according to the Daily Express.
Of course, Harry Kane just signed a five year contract extension about 12 months ago, but hey, don’t let that stop us from talking about it.
Kane has shown us in 2015-16 that last year was no “one-year-wonder” as he’s established himself the best young goal scorer in England.
