Three Lions Captain and Tottenham talisman Harry Kane was the man of the hour, bagging a brace that included the game winner in stoppage time. England entered this World Cup with a lower set of expectations and younger blood than usual, and that provided a more positive vibe heading into the clash with Tunisia.
Now with the 2-1 win, in which Harry Kane was the primary hero, there is a lot of buzz surrounding the team, an England side that is more likable than past editions. Kane is very excited about the result, as one would expect.

-Sticking with Spurs players who England internationals, of which there are quite a few, Dele Alli suffered a quad injury in the win yesterday and had to come off early. The good news is that it’s not serious at all.
The midfielder has hopes that he’ll be fit for Sunday’s group stage match against Panama.
“Hopefully I am OK,” Alli told reporters after the match. “It’s my quad.”
England manager Gareth Southgate added: “We had to keep monitoring Dele. He was feeling a little bit of an issue just before half-time.”
Finally, Son Heung-Min was asked after South Korea’s 1-0 loss to Sweden yesterday if the responsibility of having to score is more difficult for South Korea than it is for Tottenham.
“Of course it is a bit different, because when I play at Tottenham, every player is one of the best players,” Son answered. “Sometimes, when I play for South Korea, I need to give the pass to the other players and sometimes, it is a bit different than Tottenham.”
He also took ownership of the loss yesterday, and apologized for his failure to score:
“I’m still disappointed about my performance and feel very, very sorry for my teammates because if we don’t score, it’s my fault, because I need to take the responsibility.”
