In Full Swing
Football fans are coming down from a big high after the action packed World Cup in Russia. With the French national team taking home the cup, there is plenty to talk about. While the World Cup was winding down, the Premier League as well as other football leagues were starting to heat back up. With the summer transfer window coming to a quick close, teams are scrambling to assemble what they believe will be a winning squad.
Lots of clubs have made some big changes both to their leadership, and to the roster of players. It will be interesting to see the dynamics between new players and new leadership, with some clubs possibly coming up with a winning combination as a result.
Mourinho’s Tough Task
One of the more interesting developments in football lately is Jose Mourinho’s complaining about how poorly the Manchester United preseason is going. There are big expectations for this seasoned veteran, so much so that Jose is hoping to downplay them a bit.
Manchester United fans are more hopeful than ever with Mourinho in his third season at the helm, but the strong leader does not want them to get their hopes up too high. Jose Mourinho has a tough task ahead. His complaints, as justified as they may be, about the pre-season do not bode well for the regular season. The team has a lot of tightening up to do, and Mourinho doesn’t want supporters to lose hope just because they are off to a rocky start.
The Feed
There is so much football action going on right now that it is difficult to keep up with all of it. Thanks to the internet fans can get involved in football games taking place all over the world. Football should be renamed the game that never sleeps, as there is always a professional game being played somewhere around the world.
Because there is just so much action going on, sometimes simultaneously, it can be hard for fans to keep up with it all. Thankfully, there are a lot of great sites out there that offer live football scores. These live feeds are crucial for making sure that fans do not miss a second of the action. Live scores mean tracking several games at once while they are happening. No more waiting and down time between knowing what is happening. You can catch the play-by-play of multiple games, which is pretty much a necessity in this kind of climate.
A Big Hit
In other football news, Everton has taken a £12 million dollar hit after they transferring out Davy Klaassen. The Dutchmen played in only 16 games since Everton signed him on, and all the big expectations did not unfold very well. There was a lot of disappointment, and so Everton finally decided to send Davy to Bremen for a £12 million fee. They signed him from Ajax a year ago for £24 million.
Not all trades go well, and sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move forward. Each club has to make the moves they think are right at the time and just hope everything works out for the best.
