Manchester United was badly in need of a spark, if they were to regain the fine form that we saw in the early season. If you had any doubts about just how much value Paul Pogba has to this team, you can put that all to rest now.
Pogba returned to action this afternoon for the first time since mid September, when he hobbled off with a hamstring injury in the UEFA Champions League group stage victory over FC Basel. The result of #Pogback part two was everything a United and Pogba supporter could have ever hoped for.
He scored, he assisted, he danced, and United routed Newcastle at home 4-1.

Dwight Gayle gave Newcastle United the early lead with a 14′ goal, before Pogba then set up Anthony Martial for the equalizer in the 37′. Chris Smalling put the Red Devils ahead in the first half’s extra time with Pogba (54′) and Romelu Lukaku (70′) notching the last two scoring strikes. The end result was a true rout, just like we had been seeing from United in August and September.
Pogba just gives this team something no one else on the roster can, and he makes both the middle and the attack reach heights that they are incapable of seeing without him.
With both Pogba and #MUFC top ten trending terms nationally right now on Twitter, let’s take a look at what people are saying about him.

Pogba is genuinely a joy to watch. Power, trickery, passing, he’s got the lot. United look like a different side when he’s not there
