Early on this season, Manchester United holding midfielder Nemanja Matic looks like one of the better summer transfer window additions. Not just for United, but for overall, for any team in the league. He’s been stellar thus far, playing a position that allows every body else on United to fill their more natural positions on the pitch and truly become their best.
He’s one of the big six that Jose Mourinho always selects, as he’s somebody the manager has a tremendous amount of faith in. Mourinho knows all the Serbian is capable of from their time together at Chelsea.
Matic says he’s 100% yet though, and that there’s even better form yet to come from him this season.
Matic pointed out how he didn’t get the chance to train with his teammates, and went without the luxury of a preseason, due to his £40 million move from Chelsea to United being finalized while book teams were playing their friendlies..
“I didn’t have pre-season. I trained alone. I can feel it in some parts of the game!” he said.
“My body is not ready yet and I have some difficulty, of course, but I try to hide that and to play simple.
“I will be better.”
Nemanja Matic is basically doing a Frank Sinatra here:
“Best is yet to come and babe, won’t that be fine? You think you’ve seen the sun, but you ain’t seen it shine.”
