Mohamed Salah has proven to be an elite summer transfer acquisition for Liverpool FC, having scored 21 goals across 27 competitions for the Reds. The Egyptian international also has 15 goals in league play, placing him ahead of everybody but Tottenham Hotspur marksman Harry Kane, who is playing at simply out of this world form in 2017.
Mohamed Salah has provided an astronomical return on investment for Liverpool, who paid AS Roma £37.8 million for his services this past summer. He could be on the move again if reports in Spain are to be believed. Real Madrid are supposedly looking to make Salah their top target next summer.
Don Balon claims that Mo Salah is: “already tightening his agent to approach positions with the European champion. The Egyptian does not want to be left behind and wants to close a verbal agreement as soon as possible.”
That definitely conflicts sharply with the manner in which Salah has speaking to the press lately. The winger has told the media that he came to Liverpool to win titles and even promised Reds supporters a trophy this season.
Egyptian national team manager Hector Cuper is in favor of the move to the Spanish capital.
“I have no doubt he has the level, for sure. He has a lot of qualities and everyone knows that and can see that,” Cuper said in an interview with Marca.com.
“He is a very fast player, good from a technical standpoint, he is a good finisher and that would be good for Madrid.”
You can be almost certain that Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool will adopt the same exact approach to this situation that they have to Philippe Coutinho- they will maintain that their player is not for sale.
Thus you could see both La Liga giants pursuing star players in the Reds attack, and LFC maintaining their reputation as a buying club, not a selling one.
