Chelsea Manager Maurizio Sarri met the media a few hours ago to preview tomorrow’s huge Premier League clash against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. We have video of the entire media session for you here below via YouTube.
There were a whole host of topics covered in the Sarri news conference, including: an update on the injury/fitness situation, Eden Hazard’s club future/ceiling on his form, former Chelsea managers Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho (who will be on the other touchline) and much much more.
Maurizio Sarri labeled his opponent tomorrow the best team in the league.
โI think they are a very strong team. Maybe player-by-player, they are the best team in the league,โ Sarri said the assembled media in the room.
โAt the moment City is more of a team, but player-by-player they are very, very strong. We are talking only about eight matches, they are doing well in the Champions League so they can improve in the Premier League, we are talking about two months.โ
Sarri also made a plea to the media to show Mourinho more respect, and revealed his admiration for the boss who will be taking on his former team in the weekend’s headliner fixture tomorrow.
โWe are talking about a coach that has won everything, everywhere, so I think you have to respect him. I think you all have to respect him,โ Maurizio Sarri said of the man who will be on the opposing touchline on Saturday.
