Paul Pogba did not feature in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool yesterday, having suffered a last minute injury in Friday training. After the game he didn’t look to be in a whole lot of discomfort though as he was in very high spirits with Jose Mourinho while the manager was doing his post match interview in the Old Trafford tunnel.
The Frenchman was also looking and feeling good after the match with buddies/teammates Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford. Pogba invited them over to see his new private indoor pitch. It remains to be seen though how Pogba is feeling come Tuesday night when United host Sevilla in the home leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout round tie.
“I don’t know,” Mourinho said in regards to Pogba’s availability.
“He’s downstairs now and I will go and speak with him. The injury? It was contact with a player in the last minute of the training session (prior to the Liverpool game). If I finished the session one minutes before it wouldn’t have happened.”
United went to Sevilla and played the La Liga side to a goalless draw during the first leg.
Match Odds:
Man Utd: 4/6, Draw: 13/5, Sevilla: 4/1, Man Utd to advance: 1/2, Sevilla to advance: 6/4
