It was a goalless Manchester Derby, but the match is still buzzing all across the internet right now. That’s because Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini head-butted Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and the incident is dominating derby talk right now.
It’s abuzz among more than just football fans, the #ManchesterDerby is top trending term worldwide right now on Twitter. Also among the top ten are “Aguero” and “Fellaini.”
Fellaini drew red, got sent off, and the Red Devils were forced to play with ten minutes for the final stretch. You can see the GIF below. For video of the incident, and to get Jose Mourinho’s reaction, go to this link.
EVIDENCE: both players equally went in to head each other correct?
Should Fellaini be sent of just because he won?? pic.twitter.com/ZNW9IYEgmF

That said, here are some of the more interesting and entertaining Twitter reactions to the Fellaini incident with Aguero. You’re not going to agree with many, and perhaps most of these takes, but really that’s what makes it fun, right? We tried to include a wide array of differing opinions.

Mourinho: "I think it (Fellaini red card) is an example of a very experienced, very smart Argentinian player."

I'll take the point, but United was very lucky to come away w/ the point. Fellaini is an idiot for reacting the way Agüero wanted him too.

Fellaini so irresponsible. Let his team down. Fellaini on Aguero, booked, then clipped his heels, then lowered head into Aguero. Off. Daft.

Disappointed in Fellaini. Had the chance to proper smash that prick & didn't take it.

After the match, Ander Herrera told Sergio Aguero off, accusing him of diving/flopping/acting and here’s the video of that.

How can you not love this man.. Telling Aguero exactly what he thinks of his acting skills.. pic.twitter.com/8uIP1FjoIq
