It’s no secret that Manchester United are in dire need of a midfielder to help bolster their squad. The position has been a major issue for the side all season and a factor contributing to their current position in mid-table. So how do you fix it? Who is a better fit between the two Manchester United transfer targets: Marco Reus or Luka Modric?
Obviously, you have to come to a conclusion about Fellaini before debating this topic. And certainly thoughts about Nani and Valencia factor in too. We’ve discussed Reus in the past on this site. And we’ve talked about Modric a bit too. Who would work out better was a topic debated on Fox Soccer Daily, an American football talk show this afternoon.
Eric Wynalda went with Reus. Warreen Barton agrees that Reus is the way to go. He doesn’t think it will happen in the January transfer window though. He thinks Manchester United will have to wait for the summer to get him. The hottie goddess Julie Stewart-Binks introduced/hosted the segment, and she also introduced the exclusive interview of Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel, where he spoke out publicly on the sacking of Spurs Manager Aston Villas-Boas on Fox Sports 1
That segment preceded the Manchester United transfer talk. Barton played in the PL with Newcastle United. Last week we had some very strong words from the Londoner on Sir Alex Ferguson.
