Today is the day we found out who the big boys/traditional top six finishers/teams from England participating in the European competition will play when they begin their 2019-20 League Cup campaign. The League Cup, also known as the EFL Cup or the Carabao Cup does not seed for the first two rounds, and it isn’t until the third round that we see typically see the proverbial big six get involved.
Below you will find Wednesday’s draw in full. Holders Manchester City will take on Preston North End while Manchester United takes on Rochdale. Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest could be an interesting clash while Watford vs. Swansea City, on paper at least, could be a very competitive affair.
