A week ahead of what will be an absolutely huge Manchester Derby, third place Manchester United made a resounding statement today. United beat Everton 3-0 and Midfielder Ander Herrera took home the man of the match award. Herrera really made a case for Manager Louis van Gaal to start him full time.

After the match, Van Gaal singled out Herrera as superlative:
“If I have to mention one name, it would be Ander Herrera,” the Dutchman said.
“He played well and made a big contribution to our goals.”
You may be wondering why Ander doesn’t play more often, given how effective he’s been. Van Gaal later said: “It’s difficult for me to drop him, but I can do it.”
