Liverpool FC are doing all they can to try and prevent that, by chartering private jets for their Brazilian stars Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino. There is a very quick turnaround time, and Liverpool are doing all they can to get make sure the duo have enough time to prepare for this weekend’s fixture.
Liverpool will again hire a private jet in order to bring Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino swiftly back from international duty, a source has told ESPN FC.
The Brazil internationals are set to feature in a World Cup qualifier against Paraguay in Sao Paulo, which kicks off at 1:45 a.m. BST, leaving them only two full days to prepare for Saturday’s Merseyside derby against Everton at Anfield, which kicks off at 12:30 p.m.
The article goes on to say that the idea that LFC are hoping to have Firmino and Coutinho back with Liverpool by Wednesday in order to have them returning to training by Thursday.
Coutinho made headlines as well earlier this week when due to comments involving his international teammate and friend, the one and only Neymar.
Three days ago, Neymar was asked which Premier League player he believes would fit in best at Barcelona with him. His response was Coutinho, arguably Liverpool’s best, or maybe the most important player this season. Very high praise indeed.
Yesterday, at a press conference ahead of the Brazil-Uruguay World Cup qualifier, Coutinho returned the compliments for his Brazilian teammate.
