U.S. Men’s National Team and LA Galaxy forward Landon Donovan joins the Fox Sports lead football coverage team, as a guest analyst for Match Day 5 of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday. In addition to his UEFA Champions League analysis, Landon Donovan previews his role Monday on Fox Sports Live, appearing with cooky Canadian anchors Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole, ludicrously hot hostess Charissa Thompson and analysts Donovan McNabb and Ephraim Salaam. Both former NFL players.
Wednesday’s action features a major English side in Manchester United as they face Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen. Landon Donovan, U.S. Soccer’s all-time goals and assists leader, began his career with Bayer Leverkusen, making 28 appearances and scoring nine goals, and also played in the English Premier League for multiple seasons at Everton FC.
Landon Donovan is usually considered the greatest American player in history; or at least among the best all-time. It will be interesting to see his take on Manchester United in Champions League action.
