Making yesterday’s loss even more astounding is the fact that it came just eight days after United won at league champions Manchester City.
Further perplexing is the fact that United are now as healthy a squad as they have been all season long.

“It’s one of those days that we didn’t play good enough and we tried to create some chances in the first half and in the beginning of the second, but we didn’t play quickly enough,” Mataย told the club website video platform MUTV.

The club is extremely fortunate to have a player like Juan Mata to act as their player spokesperson; as he proverbially says all the right things, time and time again.
There really is no excuse for what happened yesterday, and the best explanation offered up by manager Joseย Mourinho is his apparent belief that his team just tried to be too cute on Sunday afternoon.
