John Terry, who won three Premier League titles during two stints under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, has backed his former manager to succeed again at Manchester United.ย Terry most recently played for and captained Championship club Aston Villa. The English centre back, currently finalizing a move to Spartak Moscow, has always stated his belief in talents and acumen of Mourinho.
He once again endorsed his former boss, as he believes United’s current issues are with the roster players, not the man who is currently leading them.
United are currently in tenth place on the season, having won two and lost two.
“At every club he has had big characters and Iโm not sure he has that atย Manchester Unitedย at the moment,” Terry said in an interview with the Daily Mail.
“At Chelsea, he did. You have to stand up and turn up at training every day and show him that you want to win at all costs. If youโve got that, heโs 100 per cent on your side.”
“I do think heโll bring success to United, but it needs patience.”
United are back in action a week from today, when they’ll take on Watford.
