Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard and Manchester United legend of all legends Sir Alex Ferguson were among the many past and present Premier League luminaries in attendance at London’s O2 Arena yesterday.
The event they witnessed was a very rare NBA regular season game held outside of North America, as the Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-103. Numerous players from several clubs were in attendance, with Thibaut Courtois and Marcos Alonso joining Eden Hazard as Chelsea representatives.
Former Blues midfielder Michael Ballack was also in attendance. Manchester City star man Kevin De Bruyne came out as well. Fergie represented United while Arsenal had a trio there to watch the basketball game. Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin and Shokdran Mustafi were the triad of Gunners in the house.
It was also a special night for Stoke City’s Geoff Cameron as he hails from Massachusetts, meaning he got to see his hometown National Basketball Association team, the Boston Celtics, get a win. For a slide show of all the current and former Premier League stars in attendance go to this link.
