Fresh off the demolishing of Club Brugge (don’t you just love the way Manchester United Manager Louis van Gaal pronounces the name of the Belgian side in press conferences? I have trouble in trying to type out the sounds) the Red Devils now have their draw for the group stages of the Champions League.
United have a relatively easy draw. Their group includes PSV Eindhoven, CSKA Moscow and Wolfsburg. They had a nice, easy draw in the playoff, and really lucked out again in the Champions League group stages by being placed in Group B.
If we have to apply the “Group of Death” cliche to one Champions League grouping, and really this is highly subjective and very arguable, I would say it’s either Group F:
Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Dinamo Zagreb; or it’s Group D:
Juventus, Manchester City, Sevilla, and the extremely fun to type out and pronounce Borussia Monchengladbach.
