Arsenalย midfielder Jack Wilshere had his heart in the right place as he attempted to boost Arsenal team spirit on social media. Take a look at his Tweet, now deleted, because of course it’s been deleted.
(Twitter, will you finally listen to what we’ve all been saying for so long as give us an edit button?)
There’s only issue with this Tweet, but unfortunately, it’s a really big one. The bottom image, it’s from a certain statue.
And that statue is…
…outside Old Trafford, home of Manchester United.
That’s George Best, Dennis Law and Sir Bobby Charlton, three key players on the 1968 United team, the first English team to ever win the European Cup.
Not exactly a proper use of the “our team” slogan, now is it Mr. Jack Wilshere. Hey, it was a nice try though.
