Given all the woes that Manchester United has had his season, the stellar play of Anthony Martial just stands out that much more. His deadline day acquisition has proven to be an even better deal than anyone could have expected. Martial has certainly lived up to his £36 million price tag, and today he added to his goal scoring tally in the 54′ at home versus Everton.

It all starts with the long ball from Morgan Schneiderlin, but the play was kept alive/set up by Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who came on as a sub at half time. Thus, the young defender proved to be a very key substitution. Marcus Rashford got a touch on the scoring play too, making the sequence a wonderful display of all the young talent in on the roster at Old Trafford.
It’s a good sign for the future.
It was the 14th goal for Anthony Martial on the season, and the 1000th all time scored by Manchester United at Old Trafford.
