The mid November international break is certainly the perfect time to talk some transfer rumors, as the January window will be here before you know it.
In this article we focus on Manchester United, and we begin with the latest on central defender Eric Bailly, who has lost his place on the team and could be moving on to a destination that offers him regular first team football.
He’s previously been linked to Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan among others. Now the Daily Mail claims Paris Saint-Germain have jumped into the mix.
The Ivory Coast international was Jose Mourinho’s very first signing at the club, and he did enjoy a reasonable period of sustained success, but it’s clear the special one has given up on him now. He’s one of the reasons United have been on a year long quest to upgrade at the central defender position.
We next move to Mourinho’s most recent former team, Chelsea, with talk of Old Trafford wanting to poach N’Golo Kante away from the Blues just like they did last year with another similar type of midfielder Nemanja Matic. This is according to Caughtoffside, which is a website that we are admittedly big fans of.
That said, the idea of Kante leaving Chelsea for United right now is so far-fetched and…well, it’s an international break, and that’s the only reason we’re talking about something like this.
Elsewhere, what is plan B if David de Gea doesn’t re-sign?
Apparently, it’s Everton number one and breakout star for England at the World Cup Jordan Pickford. The Sun claims that United are interested in the keeper who could command a £60 million price tag. As for where De Gea could go, it would obviously not be Real Madrid this time.
The London publication says Juventus could be the destination this time around.
And finally, Corriere dello Sport claim that United would be willing to double the salary of AS Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrinni in order to acquire him.
