It continues to be an eventful summer transfer window at Manchester United, with the team confirming their third new arrival just two hours ago, for an undisclosed fee. Goalkeeper Lee Grant joins midfielder Fred and defender Diogo Dalot as new players added to the squad this summer.
Grant, who signs a two year deal, now will likely now assume the third goalkeeper position behind David de Gea and Sergio Romero. United are adding the 35-year-old former Stoke City man as part of a revamp at the GK #3 slot.

The club also confirmed the sale of goalie Sam Johnstone, who heads toWest Bromwich Albion for a fee reported to be £6.5 million. Additionally, United boss Jose Mourinho is hoping to send his fellow countryman, U21 international Joel Pereira, out on loan for the 2018-19 season, in order to gain more experience.
“Moving to Manchester United has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember,” Grant told the official club website.
“This was an opportunity that I couldn’t let pass and I’m thrilled to become a part of such a historic club. I’ve enjoyed every moment of my career so far and I’m now ready to continue learning and improving alongside some of the best players in the game. But at the same time, I intend to use my experience to help the team whenever possible.”
“I want to say a huge thank you to those close to me who have supported me along my journey so far. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates and giving everything possible for the club in the upcoming season.”
