Manchester City begin their three city United States preseason tour on Friday when they take on Borussia Dortmund at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. Manager Pep Guardiola will address the media tomorrow in the press room of the 60,000 capacity venue on Chicago’s lakefront.
In the match Friday night, Guardiola will field a side of reserve and youth players when they take on Lucien Favre’s team. Man City has flown stateside, and Tuesday saw the announcement of the tour roster. As expected, most of the star players are missing from the list due to now being on summer holiday after putting in a long tour of duty for their respective nations in the World Cup.
Here’s the full list below. The headliner name might be Riyad Mahrez, as he’ll likely make his City debut against BVB in Chicago. The 2015-2016 PFA Player of the Year and former Leicester City man is the only new acquisition of the summer for MCFC.
German World Cup snub Leroy Sane will be fun to watch on this tour, and former England #1 Joe Hart certainly makes for an interesting story this preseason tour as well.
