Eden Hazard spoke out in regards to comments his father made about his future at Chelsea, and links to Real Madrid. The stellar forward joked that his dad is in trouble for claiming the Belgian rejected a Chelsea contract extension, for the purposes of awaiting a transfer to Real Madrid.
At the same time however, Hazard stopped short of committing his long term future to Stamford Bridge, and admitted that his future remains uncertain. The 2014-15 PFA Player of the Year’s contract runs until June 2020.
“My dad says some bad things,” Hazard said while cracking a smile. “I talked with him, no worries. I’m focused with Chelsea.”
“I’ve got two years contract left and I’m happy here. Like I said 10 times before, I want to finish this year and then we’ll see.”
“But I’m happy here,”ย Eden Hazard added while talking to reporters after this brace helped Chelsea route Brighton and Hove Albion over the weekend 4-0. The public comments he referenced were from an interview Thierry Hazard gave to Belgian newspaper Le Soir last month.
Rumors linking the Blues star man to Real Madrid have persisted to circulate in the tabloids for quite some time. Also, this wasn’t the only time that Eden Hazard made public comments about the transfer market. Hazard also stated his opinion on Chelsea’s attack, saying that his club has no need to go out and buy another striker, because what they have already suffices.
