Eden Hazard, when it comes to his club career, is exactly like that classic hit by the legendary English rock group The Clash. You know the refrain: “should I stay or should I go now?”
The 27-year-old Belgian has said that Real Madrid is his dream club and going there would be his dream move, but also that he doesn’t want to leave Stamford Bridge either.
Yesterday, his club teammate in attack Alvaro Morata said that he doesn’t believe Hazard will leave, but also that there is nothing Chelsea can do to stop him from leaving.
Speaking at a press conference Thursday ahead of Belgium’s match against Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League tomorrow, Hazard responded “no” when asked if a move to Real Madrid was possible this upcoming January transfer window. When asked about a transfer in the next summer window, Hazard changed the subject back to the clash against the Swiss.
In other words, this transfer saga isn’t going anywhere any time soon. As long tedious as it already has been, Eden Hazard “will or won’t he?” is still going to linger around for awhile.
