Here are the latest Chelsea FC transfer rumors circulating in the Twitterverse, blogosphere, cyberspace and media world. Not all of these will actually happen, but they are all interesting to read nonetheless. It’s always fun to speculate who might be coming to/leaving from Stamford Bridge.
After all, the nine or ten months that comprise the actual regular season are just a prelude to the silly season that is the summer transfer window. *Sarcasm font*
According to the Telegraph: “Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is determined to keep striker Romelu Lukaku, and is prepared to offer him a £100,000-a-week contract to do so.” Moshiri is offering Lukaku this massive pay raise is order to prohibit his making a decision to either return to Chelsea or join Paris Saint-Germain.
If Lukaku does leave the Toffees, and returns to Stamford Bridge, it flies in the face of what was reported in March. Back then, Lukaku’s Dad stated that he wants his son to join either Manchester United or Bayern Munich. Also, Lukaku himself said he wished to play UEFA Champions League football next season.
Bayern and PSG are the only clubs out of those four in Europe this year.
More back page narratives from the Daily Mail regarding the Chelsea strike force, and possible new arrivals to the attack today:
“Antonio Conte has been told his mission will be to drag Chelsea back into the Champions League — and the Italian has targeted two strikers to fire them there.”
“Loanees Alexandre Pato and Radamel Falcao will depart, while former QPR striker Loic Remy is expected to follow the pair out of the door, leaving just Diego Costa as Chelsea’s recognised senior striker. Edinson Cavani, unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain, and Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain are on the radar.”
Watch this space, Chelsea FC fans as the attack should undergo a massive reboot this summer.
