Paris Saint-Germain and France superstar Kylian Mbappe is a whole lot of things right now. He’s the second most expensive player in history, and as of eight days ago, a World Cup champion. Many pundits all across the world have hailed him as the heir apparent to best footballer alive once Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi retire.
He’s also currently the most valuable player in the world under the age of 21, according to SoccerEx, which uses data from Prime Time Sport’s Football Value Index.
On top of all that, Mbappe is apparently an aspiring agent as well. Mbappe, in an interview with France Football, revealed that PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to bring Kante over from Chelsea. Mbappe admitted that he even made a recruiting pitch while the two were together on their glorious tour of international duty
“It is true that the president (of the Parisian club) consulted me,” said Mbappe.
“My response was that N’Golo would do our team some good. I spoke with N’Golo during the World Cup. I was careful to not overdo it, though, as transfers can flood your mind.
“In the end, I just put a few words in his pocket, which I am sure he must have discovered once he got home, to get the message across.”
It’s the ultimate compliment to Chelsea and their players that so many are so coveted by the richest and most powerful clubs in the world. In addition to PSG being keen on Kante, Real Madrid are after Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, while Barcelona and Manchester United both want Willian.
