As always, the Chelsea FC injury list is long as they head into the New Year’s Eve weekend clash at Luton Town. However, it could get a little shorter on Saturday if the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Carney Chukwuemeka, Trevoh Chalobah, among others, are passed fit to feature.
Meanwhile Romeo Lavia finally featured last night, off the bench in the win over Crystal Palace, so it’s possible that he could push for major minutes at Luton.

Ditto for Noni, who came on in 71′ and later converted the penalty that clinched the win. Marc Cucurella, Reece James, Robert Sanchez, Wesley Fofana and Ben Chilwell all remain out as long-term injury absentees.
In regards to Fernandez, Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino said the following about his midfielder a few days ago:
“Enzo is going to be out for the game vs Wolves. We will see if he can be involved again ASAP. We already have info that it was a hernia, and he also didn’t feel well [on Tuesday]. He will have treatment with the doctor.”
We’ll see if Enzo Fernandez is deemed fit enough to feature on Saturday, but it is also somewhat likely he will be rested in this clash.
