A new study, commissioned by the CIES Football Observatory, estimates the transfer market values of team rosters and ranks them.
Chelsea Football Club came in as the fourth most valuable in the entire world, with a valuation of €1.04 billion, so clearly Roman Abramovich really knows what he’s doing when it comes to increasing the value of his investment.
Eden Hazard, the 2014-15 PFA Player of the Year, received the best valuation of anybody on the Blues, at £121 million.
The Belgian had to ease into this season due to injury recovery concerns, and he’s got one goal and one assist in eight league games for the defending champions thus far.
