Colombian winger and one time Manchester United target Juan Cuadrado is set to complete his move to Chelsea from Fiorentina. To free up the space, and seal the deal by funding the transfer, Andre Schurrle is headed to Wolfsburg. He is set to have his medical with the Bundesliga side today.
Sources told ESPN FC on Thursday that “Cuadrado was expected to sign “in the next 48 hours,” and while the Daily Mail reports that Chelsea and Wolfsburg are slightly apart in their valuations for Schurrle, the forward has agreed personal terms and a move is more than likely to be agreed.”
It had been implied on numerous occasions that this transfer window would be uneventful for Chelsea. Maybe even the special one had said a thing or two implying as such. Well, that’s just the special one using his world class tactics.
What will Cuadrado cost?
Chelsea have again been warned they will have to meet Juan Cuadrado’s ยฃ26.8 million release clause if they want to sign him before Monday’s deadline.
