After playing to a 1-1 draw in normal time, Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-1 on penalty kicks to claim the Community Shield today. Thus, it was a tightly contested battle at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. In another area though, the Gunners had advantage for Chelsea by a very wide margin.
Take a look at the team sheets in the match day program issued out at the national stadium. For the Blues it looks like it stops about half way down in juxtaposition to Arsenal.

Maybe Stamford Bridge should have added more than just Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata this summer? Perhaps the Blues should not have sold off and/or loaned out as many players as they did? Of course, Chelsea supporters might say “quality not quantity” in response to that argument.
However, as they aim to defend their Premier League crown this season, they’ll do so with the added workload of UEFA Champions League. Last year’s side had no European football to contend with, and manager Antonio Conte is probably still looking to beef up his side.
